Firm Background
Brennan-Millan & Company, LLP is a long-established firm in
Bakersfield with its roots extending back to George Hobson, the
first CPA in the Bakersfield area.
Our principals Richard C. Brennan and Rick Millan have over 50
years of combined public accounting experience. Our firm
consists of approximately ten individuals which allows the
partners to have direct contact with each client and provide
personalized service.
We are members of both the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants (AICPA) Division for Firms, Private Companies
Practice Section, and the California Society of Certified Public
Accountants (CSCPA).
As a member of the AICPA Division for Firms, our firm complies
with rigorous standards of professionalism, including:
Undergoing a peer review every three years. The peer review is a
thorough, objective and independent examination of our firm’s
accounting and auditing practice. The results of our review are
available to the public and we would be glad to provide you a
copy of our most recent unqualified review.
Overseeing
that each professional member of our firm completes a minimum of
80 hours of continuing professional education every two years.
Adhering
to published AICPA quality control standards.
Reporting certain information annually about our firm. This
information is also available for public review.
